Mayor Parruque held cordial discussions with the representatives of CJIC

On July 5, Júlio José Parruque, Mayor of Matola City, Mozambique, visited the construction site of the Intaka-Boquisso section under the Matola Three Municipal Roads Project, currently being implemented by CJIC. He inspected on-site operations such as asphalt paving and held discussions with representatives from CJIC and Project Engineer. The event was covered by multiple mainstream media outlets in Mozambique.

After receiving a detailed report on the project’s structural layer construction, asphalt paving procedures, quality control measures, and construction schedule, Mayor Parruque expressed satisfaction with both the engineering quality and progress. He particularly commended CJIC’s construction capabilities and its dedicated efforts to ensure quality and timelines. He stated that the newly built municipal roads would not only include vehicle lanes but also feature integrated pedestrian walkways, bicycle paths, and street lighting systems. Upon completion, the project is expected to significantly enhance traffic safety and improve local commuting conditions. Local residents interviewed shared their relief and anticipation as they witnessed the orderly progress of construction, despite previous delays due to external factors. They believe the new roads will notably mitigate flooding and improve traffic accessibility, delivering tangible benefits to the community.

The Matola Three Municipal Roads Project is one of the CJIC’s flagship infrastructure initiatives in Mozambique, reflecting its long-term commitment to deepening local presence, adhering to high-quality engineering standards, and serving public welfare. Although the project is subject to multiple external objective factors, all three construction sections are advancing steadily, with current efforts focused on structural layers, asphalt paving, and curbstone installation. The project team is accelerating construction while ensuring quality, striving toward timely completion and handover.
